ADMISSION PROCEDURE |

PAYMENTS All payments (Admission brochure, tuition, processing fees, hostel fees, etc.) are to be made either through bank chalan in cash at the state Bank of India Ambikapur, by demand draft in favor of Registrar, Sarguja University, Ambikapur (C.G.) Payable at Ambikapur. ADMISSION BROCHURE Admission Brochure can be obtained from the Registrar, Sarguja University Ambikapur either on payment (through challan) of Rs. 300/- (Rs. 150/-For SC/ST) or by post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs 300 in favor of Registrar, Sarguja University, Ambikapur (C.G.) SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM & FEES. Application form along with eligibility form, enrollment form and identity card form on prescribed format, complete in all respect together with a photograph and duly attested copies of other relevant documents (as per the check list) in support of candidate along with application procession fee of Rs 100/- (Rs 50/-SC/ST) can be sent or submitted to the Head of the respective department. Application form for one course of study shall not be transferred or considered for another course of study. Receipt of buying the admission brochure must be attached compulsorily. Application forms received late or incomplete in any respect will not be considered. Candidates, who have appeared in the qualifying examination, may also apply for admission, subject to the fulfillment of eligibility condition by the date announced by the University; the candidate will be solely responsible for the facts and information furnished by him/her in the application form. The student offered admission to a course will not be admitted to any other courses (Degree/Diploma) either in UTD or in the colleges affiliated to Sarguja University, Ambikapur (C.G.) Any attempt of pressurizing, lobbying in misbehavior, undesirable conduct, showing disrespect to a teacher or officer or any other staff of the University, will render the application unfit and disqualified for admission to any department of the University. The University shall not be responsible for the delay or non-delivery of the letter to the candidates by the Postal Department. Application forms received will be acknowledged and the date of entrance test or interview, if required, will be informed separately to the candidate. SELECTION. The Admission Committee of the concerned department will screen the application received. Admission to all the courses will be made on the basis of academic merit entrance test and personal interview, wherever specified. Separate merit list shall be prepared in respect of candidates in each category on the basis of marks secured by them in the qualify examination. Entrance test and personal interview. The admission shall be made on the merit list prepared by the Admission Committee of respective departments. The list shall be displayed on the notice board and the candidates will be informed also by post. AGE. Candidates for graduate course shall not be above 22 Years and not above 27 years for postgraduate courses as on 1 July of the academic session in which admission requested. Age relaxation of three years in each case will be allowed for female candidates, SC/ST candidates, Government/Government controlled and NRI candidates Age limit will changed as and when modified by the Government/ University. OTHER CONDITIONS. The candidates who have already passed postgraduate examination in one course shall not be allowed admission to University teaching department as a regular student in another post graduate course. Candidates who have failed in a post graduate examination will not be admitted in the same subject as a regular student. RELAXTION AND RESEVATION. Relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks will be given to all SC/ST Candidates. There shall be Reservation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government rules and University guidelines issued from time to time. Candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC category will have to submit a certificate to that effect issued from the competent authority. For Self Finance Courses the reservation is 5% of state in each category. |
